Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Nick Shirsty, and I was born and raised (for the most part) in Dallas, Texas.

I graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Art and Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013, and since then I have worked as a Lighting and Compositing artist in the United States and Canada. Some of the projects I was involved with include “Free Birds,” released in 2013; “The Book of Life,” in 2014; "Everybody Wants Some," in 2016; "The Nut Job 2," in 2017; and “Missing Link,” in 2019. Check out my IMDB page for a full filmography! I've also had the chance to work on several commercial and virtual reality projects during my time in the industry so far.

I love the creative and technical challenge of telling a story through lighting. I've always enjoyed watching movies, and the fact that I get to help bring them to life now is a dream come true. I hope you like my work!
